ENDODONTICES & RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
This specialization is concerned with the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated lesions in the bone surrounding the root. Common treatments, which come under this specialization, are all kinds of teeth restoration (fillings) using a wide range of restorative materials, root canal treatment, implants, etc.
ORAL & MAXILLO-FACIAL SURGERY
This department specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases, injuries and defects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillo-facial regions. Common treatment procedures here are surgical removal of impacted teeth, surgical treatment of the fractured upper and lower jaws, etc.
PROSTHODONTICS
When we need to restore natural teeth or replace missing teeth for maintaining oral functions, comfort, health or appearance, we approach a Prosthodontist. This specialty is involved in making all kinds of aesthetically pleasing and comfortable full and partial dentures. In addition our specialists can implant artificial substitutes for intra-oral tissues damaged by diseases like cancer, tumours etc. and help in restoration of speech functions using obturators or speech bulbs.
PEDODONTICS
This is an age-defined specialty which provides for both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence. All therapeutic treatments (restorations, root canal treatment, etc) and preventive treatments (correction of teeth with potential misalignment or protrusion, prevention of caries with ‘pit & fissure’ sealant, etc) for children under 12 years are done by our specialist in Pedodontics
